HOW TO SAVE YOUR DAMAGED HAIR

HOW A HAIRCUT FROM BYRON HAIRDRESSER RESURRECTED MY HAIR

Let’s start this by informing all of you that this is not a sponsored post.

I’ve just been like everyone else who constantly experiments with their hair countless of stints in a short period of time.

In the past I repeatedly dyed it; went on a blondie-bender; permed and straight my hair; made it pink and purple, bleached it and the list goes on and on…  Choices that I have obviously regretted right just after destroying my hair. Don’t get me wrong, some treatments were done professionally but I would admit that I’ve done some of it myself, in the comfort of my home.

Bleaching your own hair was definitely a bad idea that I don't want to talk about, but I will show photos below.

Me and my orange hair. Few months after a massive bleach I've done with my hair.

3 years of permed hair
Permanent purple hair

The silver hair that seriously damaged my hair

Chestnut base with pink ombre

This was blonde originally and it became orange after a few months
A year ago, I’ve noticed that my hair fall has been really really bad and out of control. I have used every deep-conditioning treatment out there and it has not worked at all. It was horrible!

But there’s hope!

Since that fateful day, I came to a decision that I will just try to get all the hair color cut off, so I could finally resurrect my poor hair.  I thought I had to cut it really short which was devastating for me because I had been growing it out and it was finally at the length I wanted.

The first step I did was to find a good hair salon near me. I typed on to Google “Best hairdresser near me.” I saw that the highest rated and got the most review is the Byron hair dresser. Having seen that I still did my own research and checked other hair salons as well but of course, I wanna go to only THE BEST.
I contacted them through my mobile and asked if there was an available slot for a haircut within the week. Fortunately, one client cancelled an appointment then I got his/her spot for Megan’s styling.  The one I got was for Thursday at 12:20pm.

I arrived at Byron Hair Dressing probably 10 minutes before my appointment. I was attended courteously and immediately by Megan (which I still don’t know that time that she will be my stylist). She asked me if I want any complimentary drinks with their “extensive menu for drinks,” yeah extensive for a salon and the fact that it’s a complimentary. I opted for latte which is I normally get.

So yeah, it was my first time in the salon and after reading the reviews online, I had high expectations. After an amazing consultation and talking about her professional ideas, we had relaxing hours to create something new and nice. Megan made me feel so at ease. She explained to me step by step on what are the things she’s done to my hair and the significance of it.

From the shampoo and conditioner she would be using up to the last touch up of my hair.

She used Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique and Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil and I can say that both have done wonders to my hair.

She was so pleasant and did a fantastic job on my hair. I am so happy with the results. Megan did an amazing job, really attended my hair needs, and understood the style I was going for! So pleased to finally find a hairdresser that I will go back to now. Thank you so much, will be back soon!

Moreover, the salon has a really nice and comfortable atmosphere. Everybody is professional and it really comes across that they enjoy what they do and care about making it right for each individual. This is presented in the quality of my finished haircut. It was worth every penny. I was not in the least bit disappointed and the whole experience was incredible.

The best of it all, I walked out with the most WONDERFUL and LOVELY haircut. First time I’ve been 100% happy with a haircut and I left with incredible hair, I have never been contented. Cannot recommend this salon enough.

All of those fearless experimentations damaged my hair extensively. I am still growing out my hair and getting it trimmed. I probably have about 1 inch remaining of colored hair on my ends, and I hope once those are off I can get my hair back to its original state.

It's all haircut and no any other treatment
My hair is not yet back to its old, shiny, healthy self. That’s going to take time and some major TLC. Nevertheless, never experiment with your hair on your own. Everyone should seek professional stylist.

DISCLAIMER: I have the permission of my stylist to take photos of her and the salon as well.

  12. I've had blonde hair turn orange too. That's not fun. My daughter colors her hair a lot and it never dries out or gets damaged. She is very lucky. :)
